The cabin was built around 1815. The main hall contains unique wall paintings in 'Dala style'. What confirms the age of the paintings are the medallions of Napoleon and his consort. It is likely that the paintings were made in connection with the construction of the house. Unfortunately, the artist is not definitively known, but speculation suggests three painters: Björn Anders Hansson (AHS), who signed his paintings in Dalarna as AHS; Ivar Daniel Andersson (DAS), known for similar paintings in Gammelgården in Rättvik; or possibly the Roslagen painter known as Rosaren, who made many fine cabinets and chests in Roslagen. Unfortunately, the paintings are unsigned.
